BRIEF HISTORY OF FEDERAL UNIVERSITY, DUTSIN-MA (FUDMA)

Federal University, Dutsin-Ma is one of the nine universities established by the former administration under the leadership of former president Goodluck Ebele JonathanIt’s a public institution that was founded in February 2011.

Dustin-Ma is a Local Government Area (LGA) in Katsina State, Nigeria. The name Dustin-Ma was derived from a hunter’s name that lived on the main rock located at the heart of the town decades ago, his name was Mand rock means Dutsi in Hausa Language. Due to availability of water around the rock people gradually inhabited the place and started calling the rock Dutsin-Ma. Dutsin-Ma became very popular overtime and became a Local government in 1976. In 2011 when a Federal University was created with its location at the heart of the town by the former president Goodluck Ebele Jonathan’s administration the name was adopted.

FUDMA has a student capacity of over 7,000, over 6,400 Undergraduate students, over 500 Postgraduate students and about 100 Doctoral students

FEDERAL UNIVERSITY, DUTSIN-MA (FUDMA), CUT OFF MARK 2020/2021

The Cut off mark for 2020/2021 academic session is yet to be released by Federal University, Dutsin-Ma (FUDMA), updates will be made as soon as they are available, candidates are therefore advised to visit the site as often as they can to be updated. However, updates on FUDMA Cut off Mark based on the previous academic session 2019/2020 will be made available to serve as a future guide for what is expected. The 2019/2020 FUDMA Cut off Mark is 160. To be eligible to gain admission into any department of the institution the candidate must score at least 160 in their UTME alongside other eligibility criteria. 

FUDMA ADMISSION ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA & GENERAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

To be eligible for admission into any department of the institution, candidates must meet a number of compulsory criteria, they include but are not limited to the following;

  • The candidate must have a minimum UTME score of 160 and above 
  • The candidate must have sat for and acquired an O’ level result ( WAEC, NECO, GCE, NABTEB) and must have at least 5 credit passes with Mathematics and English Language inclusive.

N/B : A’s and B’s are most present and are considered first 

  • Combination of results in not more than two ( 2 ) sittings is allowed 
  • Candidates can apply with awaiting results. Awaiting results however won’t be accepted once admission is given .
  • FUDMA must be the candidate’s most preferred Institution.

FUDMA DEPARTMENTAL CUT OFF MARK 2020/2021

As at the time of publication, the management of Federal University Dutsin-Ma (FUDMA) was yet to release the departmental cut off Mark for 2020/2021 academic session. This publication will be updated as soon as the Cut off Mark is released. However, candidates with UTME score of 160 and above are eligible to apply and sit for the University’s PUTME Screening exercise. 

FUD PROCEDURE FOR PAYMENT AND REGISTRATION FOR THE POST UTME SCREENING EXERCISE 

All eligible candidates are required to visit the University admission portal; http://portal.fudutsinma.edu.ng/admissions to register for the screening and make a payment of two thousand naira (N2,000) only for the Post UTME Screening.
